Kathy Lambert Honored as “Woman of Purpose”
County Councilmember Kathy Lambert was honored as a “Woman of Purpose” Saturday by the Evergreen Republican Women. The “Celebrating Women of Purpose” ceremony took place at Manor of Everett and recognized women leaders for courage, inspiration and service to the community. The other honorees were State Senator Jeanine Long, State Senator Val Stevens, Betty Neighbors, Rose Green and Diane Symms.
Councilmember Lambert addressed the group on women being in SHAPE as leaders – S for Sharing what we know and learn, H for Honesty in all we do, A for Adversity and how we deal with it, P for Purpose both in goals and integrity, and E for Enjoy what we are doing in our service.
Lambert is seeking her second term representing the Third District on the Metropolitan King County Council. “My number one priority is to continue to make county government more accountable”, said Lambert.. “I use the SHAPE approach in my work on the county council. I especially enjoy seeking solutions that meet the unique needs of the rural and suburban areas I represent.”
