About Kathy   

Kathy Lambert was elected in 1994 to the Washington State House of Representatives, where she served three-and-a-half terms as a Representative from District 45. She was then elected to the King County Council in 2001 and re-elected in 2005 to represent the residents of District 3 on a platform of fiscal responsibility, criminal justice reform, and reducing regulations.

Her background includes 16 years as a  teacher in the Monroe School District.  She is also a  former small business owner.   On the Council Kathy’s priorities are continuing her work from the State Legislature, including fighting unnecessary regulations and advocating for government reforms.

PERSONAL:
Kathy resides in Redmond with her family. 

Councilmember Lambert is a published poet and an author of a children’s book on Dr. Martin Luther King. She also enjoys playing with her grandchildren, traveling, reading, writing, walking, dancing and scrapbooking .
